On Feb. 12, Calhoun County Commissioners ordered an election for May 3 for Calhoun County voters to decide on creating a hospital district for the County.
The decision follows a voter-led petition to create a taxing hospital district. The petition was signed by 477 validated, registered Calhoun County voters, exceeding the required amount by 97 signatures. View the submitted petition here.
